How to Enter
Submit a video that shows what all of the choices that the University of Alaska has to offer means to you and you could win one of five 1-year scholarships! To enter, record your video and submit it to www.uamyway.net before January 30, 2008.

Video submission requirements:

  1. Videos entered in the contest should demonstrate what choices the University of Alaska has to offer and how you are impacted by all the choices.
  2. Video entries must be submitted in the following video file formats: .MOV or .FLV or .WMV and must be no longer than three minutes in duration.
  3. Video must be in English.
  4. Entry must be original, unpublished, the sole property of submitter, and not previously submitted in any other contest.
  5. Entries must not include unsuitable, inappropriate or offensive conduct or content.
  6. If you include music, you must use one of the choices of the music provided here.
  7. To be eligible to win, all entrants must fill out and either mail or fax two forms:
    Liability Release and the Talent Release Form.

*Other individuals appearing in entrant’s video submission must consent to appear in the video by also filling out the University of Alaska Talent Release Form.

Judging Criteria

  1. Relevance to the Video Challenge (30%)
  2. Entertainment value and creativity (30%)
  3. Technical execution and quality (40%)

The Prize
Each scholarship consists of one year’s (in-state, undergraduate)
tuition to the University of Alaska based on thirty credit hours for an
academic year, which is approximately $3,600. The 5 winners will be
announced on March 15, 2008.

Upon submission of an entry, entrant grants University of Alaska the right to use, publish, adapt, assign, edit, dispose of, and/or modify such entry and the concepts. Third Party Elements embodied therein in any way, in any and all media whether now known or later developed, worldwide, without limitation or approval by or compensation to the entrant or any other person and entrant may be required to sign a release to that effect at the time of prize notification.
