Harrison D.
Major: Paramedical Technology

About me… I’m currently 21 years old and Ghana, West Africa is my home.  My favorite things to do outdoors are play soccer, hang out with friends, camp, etc. I can live without listening to the radio. I am warm-hearted, popular and conscientious. I will do everything possible to make my mark in the world. At 2 a.m. I’ll snack on leftover food from dinner. I live with my family and I admire my wife because she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. The most awesome place I've visited since coming to UA has got to be the Kenai Peninsula.

Before college... the biggest misconception I had was what it cost to go.  My major is Paramedical Technology, which I found I liked when I took an EMT class. Therefore, I think the EMS Lounge is the best "on campus" hangout. The most interesting fact I learned this year is that one out of every 200 college students have HIV. My favorite place to cram for an exam is the library. My earliest class starts at 10 a.m. We don’t have a cafeteria at Kenai Peninsula Campus (KPC), but there sure are some delicious cheeseburgers at Joe’s College Café!  The first item I bought for college was a notebook. I just walk in order to get around campus. My free time is spent … what free time?!?!

The best advice that I could give to a rising high school senior is that education is the key to success. College isn’t that bad. It’s actually more fun than you think. Plus the “juice is worth the squeeze” at the end of the day.
