About me … I’m 26 years old and Fairbanks, Alaska, is my hometown. I am energetic, cooperative, and brutally honest. I will not sell myself short to make my mark in the world. The most awesome place I've visited since coming to UA has got to be wherever my friends are. My free time is spent going to rehearsal, reading and assimilating things. I live in a bachelor cabin with my books, which is my favorite place to cram. At 2 a.m. I’ll snack on nuts, and I can live without listening to country music.
About college … my favorite college class is Practicum. In fact, I am V.P. of the Student Drama Association and on Friday nights I hang out at rehearsal. Before college, the biggest misconception I had was that I wouldn’t be able to sleep in. My earliest class starts at 10 a.m. The first item I bought for college was a laptop. The wildest thing a professor has said in one of my classes was: “Let’s dance to Hungarian music while we think about that.” The absolute best thing to eat in the cafeteria is Pad Thai, but be sure to avoid everything else. I hop on a bike to zip around campus, and I think The Pub is the best "on campus" hangout. I admire good professors because they are faced with difficult challenges everyday and are required to deal with them admirably.
The best advice that I could give to a rising high school senior is to be prepared to make changes, and accept them when they come.
