About me… I was named Christian, but everyone knows me as Chris.  I’m 23 years old and Kenai, Alaska, is my hometown. On Friday nights I hang out at Veronica’s Coffee House in Kenai.  I live in an apartment by myself - which is my favorite place to cram for an exam - which I always do at the last minute. I belong to the Student Union (club) and my favorite thing to do outdoors is play ice hockey. I am goofy and easy going and can live without listening to a Techno. At 2 a.m. I snack on McDonald's. I hop on my K-Swiss(shoes) to zip around campus.  My free time is spent playing guitar, clowning around, dancing and singing. I admire my family because they always leave their door open for me. To make my mark in the world I will just “be me.”

Before college... the biggest misconception I had was that I would not be able to handle college-level courses. I was previously a theatre major but I switched because it had a foggy future. The absolute best thing to eat in the cafeteria is pizza. The first items I bought for college were textbooks. The most awesome place I’ve visited since coming to UA has got to be Juneau.

The best advice that I could give to a rising high school senior is to keep your mind open for change.
